Summary: The Tire and Lubrication Service Technician provides general
services for vehicle maintenance and repair, such as oil changes, tire rotation
and replacement, in a safe, efficient, and productive manner. Under the guidance
of an experienced technician, the service tech assists in vehicle repairs, operates
vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, and interacts with customers in a
courteous and friendly manner. The service tech assists in maintaining shop
condition/appearance, practices safety procedures, promotes shop policies, and
follows environmental rules. This position also helps ensure the shop runs in an
efficient manner by performing duties such as inventory stocking, cleaning, and
other general functions.

Responsibilities:
- Change oil, change/rotate tires, and perform minor maintenance/repair
tasks as assigned
- Expertly check all fluids and maintenance-related parts and top-off or
replace fluids or filters/parts as required
- Possess an increasingly broad knowledge of how vehicles' complex
components work and interact
- Perform routine visual inspections, test, change engine oil/filter, lubricate
chassis, and other major components
- Drive vehicles in and around the premises as needed
- Adapt to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry, as well
as in the diagnostics arena
- Perform routine vehicle servicing activities as directed
- Know and adhere to safety and environmental standards for
maintenance/repair facilities
- Empty waste baskets, clean bathrooms, and keep front room in order as
requested.
- Keeping stockroom clean and orderly
- Other cleaning duties as assigned within the shop

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma/GED (advanced education desired)
- Driver’s License
- Affinity for automotive maintenance/repair
- Some training/experience/exposure to the automotive repair business
- Willingness to receive instruction and follow rules
- Highly collaborative nature
Physical Requirements: Primarily Physical work, must be able to lift 60 lbs.
Physical Activity: Primary working position-standing/walking, with occasional
sitting, stooping, crouching, and kneeling; frequent reaching, carrying, lifting,
pushing, pulling, grasping, typing, talking-speaking clearly, hearing-conversation,
and seeing-near.
Work/Environmental: Moderate noise level consistent with an automotive clinic
Personal/Physiological: Interaction with people, working around people,
planning of activities, making judgments in emergency situations, frequent
changes in duties and volume of work, intra-organizational communication
