Keith Fink Attends Guru School!

LTS "Guru School"

Keith Fink Attends GURU School - March, 2007

High tech training for "Gurus Only".

Webster's Dictionary defines a Guru as "a person with knowledge or expertise." LTS's Guru School will give you the tools to become a Guru in your area or improve on your present Guru status.

  • Guru School is a one-week training session.
  • Instructed by notable automotive trainers; including Jim Linder, "The Injector Guru."
  • 50% actual hands-on at the Indianapolis LTS DATA Center.
  • Maximum 12 students per class session.
  • Classes run through the full business day with at least 3 evening classes. All meals during class time will be provided by LTS. This helps the class stay focused. Hotels provide a continental breakfast daily.

Although classes are always evolving, here are some examples of the classes covered during Guru School.

  • Direction Based Analysis
    • Flow chart analysis concerning underhood driveability. Engine performance baseline issues for quick accurate problem analysis. Direction based flow charts are used, with scope, fuel and emission testing procedures to aid in repairing the car correctly the first time.
  • Ignition Systems Analysis
    • A single session class discussing the latest "EI" distributorless ignition systems and the non-intrusive testing of current, module switching and kV output. An overview of all EI systems used today with pattern failures.
  • Current Ramping I-II-III
    • Our latest DSO-Current probe quick test of current and its actions on problem vehicles. Current Ramping of fuel pumps, ignition systems and fuel injectors are explored with actual student vehicles as case studies.
  • Signal Analysis
    • A hands-on approach to the latest tool in the industry, the Digital Storage Oscilloscope. All makes are used and discussed, students are encouraged to bring their own scope for lab workshop sessions.
  • Fuel Injection Service
    • Fuel injection system operation and service procedures are discussed and tested. Fuel injector services, pump testing, flow and overall volume is tested. Students are invited to bring an actual problem system to class for hands-on service in our DATA Center injector service lab.
  • PC Utilization for the Service Technician
    • Basic PC tools of the Next Generation will be used to show the working technician a practical utilization of the PC in the shop workplace. Internet and waveform storage programs will be discussed and used daily.
